At VIVOBAREFOOT SA we are proud to be sponsors of some seriously talented athletes. Trail running has been our main focus and passion but look out for us on the roads too! We refer to our team as the VIVO-EXPRESS and it includes anyone who runs in VIVOBAREFOOT.
Name: Greg Goodall - Nickname: Cappy or The Lion Tamer
Greg has been with us from the start in South Africa and every step of the way he has proven to be the Ultimate athlete and brand ambassador. He is one of the most respected, liked and accomplished trail runners in SA. He is humble and friendly but dont let that fool you when he is racing. He is one of the most determined runners around and never stops fighting. He is a tenatious climber and a great technical runner. With back to back podiums at the OTTER/RETTO there is no doubt that Cappy is one of the most consistent top athletes on our trails. His has a couple wins this season including Warrior Cross Race and The Impi Elite.
Charl Brandon Souma - Nickname: Caballo (originally Caballo negro)

Charl has been running for the VIVOBAREFOOT family since 2012 and has shown to be one of the countries top trail runners. He is a liked by all on the trails and road and his passion comes through in his training and racing. He was always seen as a slight unknow or not a race favourite and that is probably because he is so modest about his acheivements. The Underdog status has been blown away in 2013 as Charl had 7 victories by May as well as plenty podiums. He made the SA trail Team when he qualified at ADDO. Amoung his top victories are The Batrun, Impi Elite and the 3 peaks.

With 3 Podiums already this year, we sure are looking forward to a super 2014 with this super talented and humble running machine who has the best male runners shaking in their boots.
Bennie Roux - Nickname: Yster or Skyman
Bennie was the first team member from up North and it has been great to have him on board. He is winning races from short to long and is consistantly improving. He is fun loving and friendly as all who know him will confirm. His nickname Yster (Iron) pretty much sums up how hard he runs. Bennie has fitted in perfectly at VIVOBAREFOOT and we are looking forward to many many years on the road and trails with YSTER!
NIC DE BEER - Nicname : The Bear
For years Nic has been one of our countries leading Ultra and trail runners. He is a gentle giant who consistently churns out results. He recently took top spot at the 2014 African X in the Vetrans proving that this Bear still has plenty fight in those legs.
NOEL ERNSTZEN- Nicnames: There are to many
One of the countries most inspirational trail runners as voted by his piers. He has recently joined the masters but that means nothing to Noel as he ran a sub 5 Otter Trail in 2013 and consistantly teaches the youngsters on the trails. We are very fortunate to have such a great ambassador for both trail running and our country. AJ CALITZ - Nickname Amigo Roija or Ginja Ninja
AJ needs no introductions on the SA running scene or the internationally scene with a recent win at the Verdon Canyon 100km Trail Run in France. He joined the VIVOBAREFOOT family in 2013 and is already smashing records. He is a true professional who trains hard and is respected and liked by his peers and admirers. He is unstoppable when it comes to climbing and the only one who can keep up with him is Monty his trusty pooch. We are looking forward to working with AJ as he begins to stamp himself on the International Trail scene. He is recently made the SA Trail and is a proudly South African booitjie. Recently won his 2nd Redbull LIONHEART.
